A LOT of people have acrobat reader installed on their computer.  More people can open Acrobat (PDF) documents than most other office file types that are out there.  This also makes a lot of people ask: "Do I need to buy Acrobat to make PDF files?"

No!  And I usually tell people to just use a free one like this: http://www.pdf995.com/download.html

This particular program has been around our office for quite a while, it does show you an advertisement when you make the PDF, but it has been free and reliable on many systems for many years.  Give it a try, you do need to install the printer driver to be able to Print to PDF - it's all free!!
